anyone else have this?

I'm on vent with a friend and we're all lagging horribly but he can't move and he isn't dropping but we keep hoping he'll come back as we're half way though SF. This is sick, the lag keeps getting worse and no matter what you doubters may say I'm in Hawai'i on Road Runner(cable) my gf is in Hawai'i on comcast or somesuch (DSL), Jester is in Texax on cable and Lestat is in New Jersey on Cable...lag spike is one thing 3 consecutive SF runs for over 2 hours is not a lag spike.

Everyone is experiencing this afaik. Was in tombs just a minute ago, everything is lagging, there is even a chat messages delay, error 7's and other errors kicking you out, at one point the WHOLE of district 1 tombs got kicked out, not sure about others. I am seeing this happen everywhere, I am playing form Australia on US servers btw. I tried going back to GW but it just kicks you or you start to really lag, will give it some time before going back in.

Im playing from Australia on the US server and haven't had many lag problems.

Yes it sucks for me too, my euro server account seemed to be ok though
while i was transfering items around but as soon as i went back onto american
servers i kinda lagged out a few times, seems like everyone is getting it...

One of my guildmates is having a terrible time with this - he'll be 90% of the way through a mission and it will just freeze...can't message us or anything.

Then, after a few minutes, he frees up and all his messages come through in a giant flood. He sent a message to tech support, and they responded that it may be his video card...the same video card he's had for the past seven months of playing GW and has never had problems like these.

I think GW either has a bug or problems with certain of its servers.

My guildy was monking in ToPK and had this. He was still there, and recieved his cut of coin drops, but he couldnt move and eventually err7'd after 10 minutes. I was also there when the whole of HA district 1 was kicked, it was starnge

Actually I have found that lag has increased quite a bit over the last week or so. My characters seem to stutter at times and chat has been slow. Not all the time but usually several times a night.

Was doing ToPK the other night and one of our party got "stuck." he didn't lose TS, could still text chat just fine, but his character was completely immobile. We finished the level we were on and when we went to next level, he came right along with us, solving the problem - very wierd.

Lag seems to get a bigger and bigger problem on GW servers. I had no lag problems before. All this lag scenario started mainly after xmas. My guess is that some of the servers have hard time syncroizing with other servers.

I got a 5 min lag spike in topk along with another player. Also in ha in sometimes i have hellish lag, waking up in all the wrong places, `teleporting` between places... And it's only an ingame lag. TS/Vent and everything else is working fine during these lag spikes.

ANET do something!!!

Last night the lag wasn't so bad, but the night before I was lagging every 10 seconds or so. I have a 256 MB DDR video card and a 1.5Mbps DSL connection, so I know it wasn't me.....

It's not your video card. It's your internet connection. I've been battling this problem for several weeks now...about once/twice an hour I'll get that behavior for about 30 seconds. The problem is, the way GW works, the game is practically ruined at that point. I'm 15 seconds or so "behind" the actual gameplay. Eventually it'll catch up, but that can take 5 minutes or so.

Although, I wish it was my video card, it would make things a lot easier

LAg increase and severity has increased, it seems, since the end of the PvP Faction Preview weekend. Some nights its fine and some nights it is just horrendous (rubberbanding movement, lock ups, 1 second delay casting spells, etc).

We where playing GvG last week and 3 of the 8 people Err 7 within the first minute of the battle - in fact the monk E7 before the gates opened. I was the second monk and I was stuck in the hall for the first 2 minutes.

So yes it has been worse for me for several weeks now.

I hardly ever have lag spikes, but yesterday my whole team experienced it during the Aurora Glade mission. It wasn't life threatening, no one dropped, but it was rather unusual to the point where a couple of people said someting.

Hopefully ANET is taking a look into this.

I think, they are doing updates to the servers.
So we might get a new update or something soon.
Lots of Err 40 this morning.
As a friend told me Err 40 means they are updating the servers with new files.

EXACTLY the same as me. I thought it was just me comp/internet but its happening to others.

Sign my name to this list. I started having this lag issue back before the PVP event. I freeze up, but I can see everyone else running around, I still am taking damage, minions take damage,etc. Basically the game is still running but I am froze solid. What is up with this? And DON'T tell me its my graphics card cause that just makes no sense. Months of playing fine and then all the sudden my graphics card makes me lag? I dont think so.
